Last updated: 6 September 2025
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the GlassHelper website and any quotes, orders, supply and installation of glazing products provided by us. By using this site or placing an order you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are
“GlassHelper”, “we”, “us” refers to the business trading as GlassHelper in the UK. Contact: /contact. If you are a company, please include your details in correspondence. If applicable, our registered address and company number may appear on invoices and quotes.
2. Scope
These Terms cover: (a) your use of this website; and (b) our supply of goods and/or installation services. Any additional terms stated on a quote, invoice or work order will form part of the agreement. In case of conflict, specific written terms on our quote take precedence.
3. Website Use & Information Disclaimer
- The content on this site is for general information only. We try to keep it accurate but give no warranty (express or implied) that it is complete, up-to-date or fit for any particular purpose.
- Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for ensuring any products, services or information meet your specific requirements.
- We may change or remove content without notice and are not liable for any resulting loss.
4. Quotes, Surveys & Orders
- All quotes are subject to site survey and valid for the period stated (or 30 days if not stated).
- Dimensions provided by you are used for initial pricing only; final pricing/specification follows our survey.
- Once you approve the quote and we confirm your order, a binding contract exists.
- Made-to-measure items (including toughened/laminated glass, custom hardware, manifestations, coatings and colours) enter production shortly after approval and may not be cancellable (see Clause 10).
5. Pricing, Deposits & Payment
- Prices are in GBP and include/exclude VAT as stated on the quote/invoice.
- We may require a deposit before fabrication or scheduling. The balance is due as stated on the invoice (usually on completion).
- We reserve title to goods until full payment is received.
- Late payments may incur interest and/or reasonable recovery costs.
6. Site Access & Customer Responsibilities
- Provide safe, clear access to the working area, including parking where possible.
- You are responsible for identifying hidden services (cables, pipes) unless we have expressly agreed to undertake scans. We are not responsible for damage caused by concealed or unknown services.
- You must ensure the structure is suitable for fixing (walls, floors, frames). We are not responsible for pre-existing structural defects or making good unrelated to our works unless agreed in writing.
- You are responsible for obtaining consents (e.g., landlord, planning) unless our quote states otherwise.
7. Delivery, Installation & Lead Times
- Lead times are indicative. We are not liable for delays caused by suppliers, manufacturing, weather, access issues, or events beyond our reasonable control.
- Risk in the goods passes on installation or delivery (as applicable). We recommend appropriate care and insurance once installed/delivered.
- Minor remedials (sealant cure, trims, adjustments) may require a follow-up visit.
8. Glass Characteristics & Tolerances
- Glass may include allowable features (e.g., seeds, light haze, roller marks) not visible in normal viewing conditions. Colour/ tint/ shade may vary between batches.
- Toughened/laminated safety glass is specified for appropriate locations. Edge and hole tolerances follow typical industry practice.
- Thermal stress, impact or misuse can cause breakage; we are not liable for damage after installation unless caused by our negligence.
9. Changes, Cancellations & Returns
- Custom/made-to-measure goods are non-returnable and, once in fabrication, may not be cancelled without charges covering costs incurred.
- Requests to change specification after survey may affect price and lead time.
- For consumer customers, your statutory rights are unaffected; however, the usual cooling-off rights generally do not apply to bespoke goods.
10. Warranty & Aftercare
- We provide services with reasonable skill and care. Any additional warranty terms (if offered) will be set out on your quote or warranty document.
- Wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, poor maintenance, or third-party interference are excluded.
- Please follow our aftercare advice for cleaning and maintenance.

- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and conditions relating to the website and our services.
- We are not liable for: loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill, anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
- Our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the total amount paid by you for the relevant goods and/or services.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be limited (including consumers’ statutory rights under UK law).
